Upon completion of project due diligence and work plan development, all projects are submitted to a Joint Steering Committee (JSC) for final approval. For more details about the application process and work flow, see here.
The Joint Steering Committee meets on a yearly basis to approve new projects and provide governance oversight to the program.
Evaluation of projects will be based on the written draft and an in-person pitch during the JSC meeting. In case your project idea is chosen, a final project draft will be worked out with the designated industrial partner.
Ultimate project funding will be provided via the Hamburg Investitions- und Förderbank. More details on this funding program can be found here.
Current active members of the JSC are representatives of the designated industry partner of each academic institution and of the Authority for Economy, Transport and Innovation (BWVI), respectively. Optional and inactive members can be the representatives of the technology transfer offices, the Authority for Science, Research and Equality (BWFG) and the Authority for Health and Consumer Protection (BGV).
Governance of the collaboration and the JSC will be coordinated and moderated by Life Science Nord Management GmbH.
